Add a Simple Product
To create a simple product, navigate to Admin → Products → Add New Product.
Steps to Add a Simple Product
Step 1 – Enter the Product SKU
Enter a unique SKU for the product.
Step 2 – Set the Product Status
By default, the product status is set to Publish. You may change this to Draft or Pending Review if needed.
Only products with a Publish status can be added to the cart.
Step 3 – Select the Product Category
Choose the appropriate product category. The default category is automatically assigned based on your simple product settings.
Step 4 – Select the Product Type
Select Products, or your custom display name if you have renamed simple products.
Step 5 – Choose Variant Settings
Select whether the product will have variants.
In this example, no variants are used. For instructions on adding variants, refer to Adding Simple Products with Variants.
Step 6 – Enter Cost of Goods
Enter the manual Cost of Goods, representing the amount you pay to purchase the product.
Step 7 – Apply a Pricing Rule (Optional)
Select an existing pricing rule if you want to apply one.
This step is optional and may be skipped. To create a new rule, click Add New Rule.
Step 8 – Enter the Selling Price
Enter the selling price charged to the end user.
If a pricing rule is applied, the selling price is automatically calculated.
Step 9 – Enter Product Name(s)
Enter at least one product name.

Select the name type.

Enter the product name in the input field.
A default name type is automatically selected based on your simple product settings, but you may choose a different name type if needed.
Step 10 – Create the Product
Click Continue to create the simple product.
