Add Simple Products with Variants

To create a simple product with variants, navigate to Admin → Products → Add New Product.

Adding Variants

Variants allow you to offer multiple versions of the same product, such as different sizes, colors, or editions.

A variant must already exist in your dispensary before it can be applied to a product. The same variant can be reused across multiple products. If a variant does not appear in the dropdown list, you must first add it to your Variant List before it can be selected.

Steps to Add a Product with Variants

Step 1 – Enter the Product SKU

Enter a unique SKU for the product.

Step 2 – Set the Product Status

By default, the product status is set to Publish. You may change this to Draft or Pending Review if needed.
Only products with a Publish status are available for sale.

Step 3 – Select the Product Category

Choose the appropriate product category. The default category is automatically assigned based on your simple product settings.

Step 4 – Select the Product Type

Select Products, or your custom display name if you have renamed simple products.

Step 5 – Enable Variants

Indicate that the product will have variants by selecting Yes.

Step 6 – Configure Each Variant

For each variant, complete the following:

  • Enter the variant SKU

  • Select the variant from the dropdown list

  • Enter the manual Cost of Goods

  • Choose a pricing type

  • Enter the pricing value

The final selling price is automatically calculated.

Pricing rules are not available for variant products. Variants can be priced using:

  • Desired margin

  • Percentage markup

  • Fixed markup

  • Exact price

If the desired variant does not appear in the list, click Add New Variant. You will be redirected to the Add Variant page. After creating the variant, refresh the product page for it to appear in the selection list.

Step 7 – Enter Product Name(s)

Enter at least one product name. You may add multiple product names in different languages if needed.

Step 8 – Create the Product

Click Continue to create the product with variants.
