Converting allows a user to switch an existing formula from one Formula Builder to a different Formula Builder.
Example:
Converting a tincture formula into a granule formula.
These settings determine which Formula Builders are available as conversion targets when a user chooses to convert a formula.
When a formula is converted, the system attempts to map ingredients from the original Formula Builder to the new one.
The system searches for exact ingredient name matches
When a match is found, the ingredient and its relevant data are copied over
If no match is found, the user is notified and the ingredient is excluded from the converted formula
This ensures accuracy while clearly identifying any ingredients that could not be transferred.
Formula Builders may contain multiple ingredient types.
Example:
You are converting a tincture formula (single ingredient type) to a Formula Builder that includes:
Raw Herbs
Concentrates
Granules
Vitamins
Minerals
Essential Oils
If the same ingredient name exists across multiple ingredient types, the system will select the ingredient type that is ranked higher in the Ingredient List.
Ingredient selection priority is controlled by the Ingredient Type Order.
You can adjust this order by navigating to:
Ingredient Selection in Formula Settings
The higher an ingredient type appears in the list, the higher its priority during conversion when multiple matches are found.
Toggle the conversion option ON to allow users to convert formulas from this Formula Builder to others
When enabled, available Formula Builders will appear in a dropdown within the General section of the Formula Builder
When a user selects a different Formula Builder from the list, the system automatically converts the formula using the rules described above.
Enabling and properly configuring conversion ensures flexibility while maintaining control and data integrity across different Formula Builders.
