Create a New Formula Builder
Path: Admin → Settings → Formula Settings → Add New
Formula Builders define how practitioners create formulas in your dispensary. You can create unlimited formula builders, each tailored to a specific workflow, ingredient type, or use case.
Common Formula Builder Scenarios
You may want separate formula builders for different purposes, such as:

One formula builder per ingredient type

A formula builder that mixes multiple ingredient types

A formula builder for wholesale quantities only
-
A formula builder for decoctions or cooked ingredients
-
A formula builder for custom soaps, creams, or shampoos
Each formula builder operates independently with its own settings.
How to Create a Formula Builder
Step 1: Click Add New
In the top-right corner of the Formula Settings page, click the blue Add New button to begin creating a new formula builder.
Step 2: Enter the Formula Builder Name
Enter a name for the formula builder.
This name is visible to practitioners and helps identify the purpose of the builder.
You can change the formula builder name at any time.
Step 3: Configure Simple Formula Builder Options
Ingredient Selection / Formula Type
Choose the Formula Builder Type.
(Currently, there is only one available option.)
Default Rows
Set the number of blank ingredient rows that will appear when a practitioner creates a new formula.
This helps speed up formula creation by preloading commonly used rows.
Step 4: Add Ingredient Types

Click Add New

Select from existing ingredient types

Repeat as needed to include multiple ingredient types in the same formula builder
If an ingredient type does not appear in the list:

Create the ingredient type first

Refresh the page

Then add it to the formula builder
After completing these steps, your Formula Builder will be created. However, additional fine-tuning is recommended before considering the setup complete.
The most important section to review is Dosage Modes, as this directly impacts how formulas are calculated and built. That said, we strongly recommend reviewing each settings section at least once to ensure all options align with your workflow and requirements before finalizing the Formula Builder configuration.
