Practitioner Navigation Menu

Path: Admin → Settings → Practitioner Website → Practitioner Navigation

This section allows you to control which menu items appear in the practitioner account navigation and how they are organized.

There are two separate navigation menus you can manage. Each can be enabled or disabled independently:

  1. Main Left Navigation Menu
The primary menu displayed on the left side of the practitioner account.

  2. Hidden Help Menu
A secondary menu that appears on the right-hand side and is hidden by default.
Practitioners can open it by clicking the menu icon in the top-right corner of their account.

Click the Menu Items button next to the menu you want to update.

Once inside a menu, you will see a list of menu items with the following controls:

Position

  • Determines the order in which items appear

  • Lower numbers appear higher in the menu

Show on Website

  • Toggle ON/OFF to display or hide the menu item in the practitioner account

  • Hidden items are not deleted and can be re-enabled at any time

Adding Menu Items

You can add both internal and external menu items.

Add an Internal Menu Item

Choose New Internal Menu Item to link to pages within your dispensary.

Required fields:

  • Menu Name – The label shown in the practitioner navigation

  • HTML Class – Optional (for advanced customization; can be left blank)

  • Select Icon – Choose an icon to display next to the menu item

  • Select Module – Choose what the menu item links to:

    • A system internal page

    • A content page you created

    • A category

After selecting a module, an additional field will appear allowing you to choose the specific page or module.

If the page you want does not appear in the list, you can still link to it using an external menu item.

Add an External Menu Item

Choose New External Menu Item to link to an outside website.

Common use cases include:

  • Clinic or dispensary homepage

  • Educational resources

  • External reference sites used frequently by practitioners

Even internal pages can be linked this way if they are not available in the internal module list.

Summary

The Practitioner Navigation settings give you full control over:

  • What practitioners see in their navigation

  • The order of menu items

  • Whether items are visible or hidden

  • Linking to both internal dispensary pages and external websites

This flexibility allows you to tailor the practitioner experience to match your workflow, education model, and clinical operations.
