Overview

Price Tier Templates allow you to define tiered pricing based on the quantity ordered. This is useful if your dispensary charges different prices at different quantity thresholds.

Templates are created at the ingredients or premix level and can be reused across multiple catalog items, ensuring consistent pricing logic and reducing setup time.

Key Benefits

  • Create multiple templates

    • Each template can represent a different tiered pricing strategy

  • Apply templates manually

    • Assign a template to a herb or premix without recreating pricing tiers each time

  • Required for tiered pricing rules

    • Templates must exist if you plan to create pricing rules that use tiered pricing

Used By

The Used By column shows where a template is currently applied.

  • Click View to see which pricing rules are using the selected tier template

Edit Ranges

  • Tier ranges can be edited at any time

  • If the template is already applied to herbs, premixes, or pricing rules, those items will automatically update to reflect the changes

Delete a Template

  • A template can only be deleted if it is not associated with:

    • Any pricing rule

    • Any herb or premix catalog item

This safeguard prevents accidental disruption to active pricing configurations.

Add a Template Instructions

Step 1 – Create a Tier Template

The first step in creating a tier template is defining the template name and the quantity range it applies to.

  1. Template Name
Enter a clear, descriptive name for the tier template. This name will help you identify the template when applying it to pricing rules.

  2. Quantity Range
Define the quantity range by entering a From and To value.

    • This range determines when the tier will apply based on the quantity ordered.

    • Each tier represents a specific quantity interval.

  3. Click Save to create the tier template, or Cancel to discard your changes.

Once saved, you can continue adding additional tiers and pricing rules to complete the tiered pricing structure.

Step 2 – Edit and Add Tier Ranges

After creating the tier template, the next step is to define and manage the quantity ranges that make up the template.

Editing an Existing Range

  • Locate the range in the list

  • Click Edit in the Action column

  • Update the From and To quantity values

  • Save your changes

This allows you to adjust when a tier applies based on quantity.

Adding Additional Ranges

  • Click Add Tier

  • Enter a new From and To quantity range

  • Save the tier

You can add multiple tiers to a single template to support different pricing levels across quantity ranges.

Important Notes

  • Each tier represents a specific quantity range

  • Ranges should not overlap

  • Tiers are applied based on the quantity ordered

Click Save to apply all changes to the tier template once you have finished editing or adding ranges.

Price Tier Templates provide a scalable and consistent way to manage quantity-based pricing across your entire catalog.
