Shopify Integration – Setup Outline Only -  See Exact Steps Below

Follow the steps below to connect your Shopify store and sync products successfully.

1. Install the Application in Your Shopify Store

  • Install the Dispensary Tree application in your Shopify store

  • Copy and save:

    • Shopify Store Name

    • Shopify Access Token

2. Create and Copy the Dispensary Tree (DT) API Token

  • Generate a new DT API Application Token

  • Copy and securely save the token for later use

3. Register at Dofeeds.com

  • Create a free account at Dofeeds.com

  • This service acts as the connector between Shopify and Dispensary Tree

4. Set Up the Dofeeds Connection

  • Log in to Dofeeds

  • Enter your:

    • Shopify Store Name

    • Shopify Access Token

    • Dispensary Tree API Token

  • Save and validate the connection

5. Sync Products

  • Initiate the product sync from Dofeeds

  • Confirm that products are successfully imported and updated between systems

Summary

Once completed, your Shopify store will be connected to Dispensary Tree through Dofeeds, allowing products' Inventory to sync automatically and stay up to date.

Create a Shopify Store

Before integrating with Shopify, you must already have a Shopify store created and populated with your products. The integration relies on an existing Shopify store to sync product data correctly.

What You Need to Do First

  1. Create a Shopify account

  2. Set up your Shopify store

  3. Add your products to the store

  4. Ensure your store is active and accessible

Only after these steps are complete should you proceed with the Shopify integration.

Get Started with Shopify

Visit Shopify to create your store and begin adding products.

Once your Shopify store is ready, you can continue with the integration setup process.



Log In to Your Shopify Store and Configure the Integration

This guide walks you through creating a Shopify app, generating the required tokens, and connecting Shopify with Dispensary Tree using DoFeeds.

Step 1: Log In to Your Shopify Store

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin

  2. In the left navigation menu, click Apps

  3. From the popup, click App and Sales Channel Settings

  4. Click Develop Apps

  5. Click Create an App

Step 2: Create a Shopify Application

Name Your Application

Enter any name you like. Examples:

  • Dispensary Tree Integration

  • DT Integration

  • YourStoreName Dispensary Tree

Click Create App.

Step 3: Configure Admin API Scopes

  1. Click Configure Admin API Scopes

  2. Select the following required permissions:

Inventory

  • read_inventory

  • write_inventory

Locations

  • read_locations

  • write_locations

Products

  • read_products

  • write_products

  1. Click Save

Step 4: Install the Application

  1. Click Install App

  2. Approve the installation

Step 5: Copy Shopify Credentials

Copy Access Token

  • Click Reveal Token

  • Copy and save this token immediately

  • You will only be able to view it once

Copy Store Name

  • Copy your Shopify Store Name

  • Save it somewhere secure—you will need it later

Step 6: Create a Dispensary Tree (DT) API Token

To connect Shopify and Dispensary Tree through DoFeeds, you must create a DT API token.

Register for API Access

  1. Visit:
    https://api.dispensarytree.com/register

  2. After registering, log in here:
    https://api.dispensarytree.com/login

Create an Application

  1. Click Applications in the top menu
    https://api.dispensarytree.com/data/apps

  2. Click Create Application

  3. Enter an Application Name

    • One word only

    • No spaces

    • The name does not matter

  4. Select the following permissions:

    • Do-feeds | Get All Product Details for Inventory Sync

    • Get All Product Details

  5. Click Submit

  6. Generate an API Token

  7. Copy and save the token for later use

Step 7: Create a DoFeeds Account

  1. Register at:
    https://live.dofeeds.com/sign-up.php

  2. Save your username and password

Step 8: Log In to DoFeeds

  1. Log in at:
    https://live.dofeeds.com/index.php

Step 9: Configure DoFeeds Connection

Choose Platform

  • Select Shopify

  • Click Save & Next

Choose Supplier

  • Select Dispensary Tree

  • Click Save & Next

Step 10: Activate DoFeeds Subscription

  1. Click Make Payment

  2. Enter your credit card details

  3. Complete payment to activate your subscription

Step 11: Choose Syncing Options

  • Select Manual Syncing Type

  • Select Manual Mapping Columns

  • Click Continue

Step 12: Complete Profile Setup

Enter the following details:

Profile Name

  • Any name you like (for your reference)

Practice API Token

  • Paste the DT API Token you created earlier

Dispensary Token

  1. Go to your Dispensary Tree Admin

  2. Navigate to Settings → Account → API

  3. Copy your Dispensary Token

  4. Paste it into the DoFeeds profile field

Save the profile.

Summary

You have now:

  • Created a Shopify app with proper permissions

  • Generated Shopify and Dispensary Tree API tokens

  • Registered and configured DoFeeds

  • Connected Shopify and Dispensary Tree

  • Prepared your account for product syncing
