Navigation: Admin > Settings > Ingredients > Ingredient Types → Edit an Ingredient Type → Ratio

Overview

This section explains the Ratio tab for an Ingredient Type. Ratio settings define whether ingredients of this type require a ratio and, if so, what default ratio should be applied.

Ratio Settings

Require Ratio

  • Toggle this setting ON if ingredients of this type require a ratio (e.g., extract or granule ratios)

Default Ratio

  • Set a default ratio that will automatically be applied to all new ingredients created under this Ingredient Type

  • This default can be overridden at the individual ingredient level if needed

Using ratio settings ensures consistent conversions and calculations across all ingredients that share the same Ingredient Type.
