This guide assumes your dispensary is already integrated with your GoShippo account. If shipping has not been configured, complete your shipping setup first under Admin > Settings > Shipping.
You may generate shipping labels either directly from Dispensary Tree or from the GoShippo website.
Go to Admin > Orders
Open the order you want to ship by clicking the Invoice Number
Navigate to the Details tab
Locate the section labeled Shipping Label Options
Click Create Shipping Label.
You will be shown:
Sender Address – Pulled from Admin > Settings > Account
Recipient Address – Based on the order shipping details
The system verifies both addresses before proceeding.
Important Notes
You may edit the addresses on this screen
Address changes are saved as new addresses
Only postal/ZIP code corrections update the existing address
Invalid addresses must be corrected before rates will generate
Click Save and Continue when the addresses are valid.
Shipping fields are auto-populated based on the order, but you may adjust:
Shipping carrier
Shipping service
Box size
Shipment weight
Only box sizes already created in the system are available.
To add a new box:
Click Add New Box, or
Go to Admin > Settings > Shipping > Box Sizes
Optional services such as insurance or signature confirmation may be added. Rates update in real time based on your selections.
Click Proceed and Create Label to generate the label.
The label opens in a new browser tab. If it does not appear, check your browser’s pop-up settings.
Once the label is created:
Tracking information is saved to the order
Tracking appears in the practitioner’s order history
Tracking appears in the patient’s account (if applicable)
A shipping confirmation email is sent if an email address exists
Email content can be customized under:
Admin > Settings > Notifications
Some carriers require a manifest, which summarizes all shipments created for a specific day.
To create a manifest:
Go to Admin > Orders
Select Create Manifest
Choose a Submission Date
Select a Shipping Carrier
Click Create Manifest
The manifest appears in Manifest History, where it can be viewed or printed.
If you are unsure whether your carrier requires a manifest, contact the carrier directly.
In the Orders section, click Shipments to view:
All created shipments
Shipment statuses
Delivery progress
This provides a quick overview of outbound shipments.
If you prefer to generate labels directly in GoShippo:
Log in to your GoShippo account
Go to the Orders tab
Select an order that is not marked as pickup
Complete the shipment details and generate the label
Dispensary Tree automatically sends:
Recipient address
Ordered items
You may still need to:
Enter package weight
Select carrier and service
Once the label is created:
The shipment appears in GoShippo
Tracking information is sent back to Dispensary Tree
Tracking is visible to admin, practitioner, and patient (if applicable)
If an address is changed in Dispensary Tree after an order has been sent to GoShippo:
A new order is created in GoShippo
A note is added to the order in Dispensary Tree
The original GoShippo order is not updated
Dispensary Tree offers full shipping label management with real-time carrier rates, address validation, tracking synchronization, and optional manifest creation. Labels can be generated either within the dispensary system or directly through GoShippo, with tracking automatically synced back to all relevant users.
