What Are Fulfillment Settings?

Fulfillment Settings control how ingredient data is displayed when preparing or fulfilling an order. This includes which data columns are shown and the order in which ingredients appear during fulfillment.

These settings are designed to streamline dispensing workflows and ensure the most relevant information is visible at the point of preparation.

Settings Per Dosage Mode

Each dosage mode enabled in a Formula Builder has its own dedicated fulfillment settings.

Use the dosage mode tabs to view and configure fulfillment behavior independently for each dosage type.

Fulfillment Settings Overview

Ingredient Order

You can define how ingredients are sorted in the fulfillment view:

  • Ingredient Name

    • Alphabetical: A → Z or Z → A

    • Original order as entered in the Formula Builder

  • Ingredient Quantity

    • Highest → Lowest

    • Lowest → Highest

  • SKU Number

Ingredient Name Sorting

When sorting by name, select which ingredient name type is used for alphabetical ordering.

Quantity-Based Sorting

When sorting by quantity, you must specify which quantity field is used:

  • Raw Quantity

  • Enter Quantity

  • Total Quantity

  • Converted Quantity

What Is Converted Quantity?

Each ingredient type has a default measurement type used for inventory tracking.

If a formula uses a different measurement type than the one used for inventory, the system automatically converts the value into the default inventory measurement. This converted value is referred to as the Converted Quantity.

Example

  • Formula built using fluid ounces

  • Inventory tracked in milliliters (ml)

The system converts fluid ounces to milliliters and displays the converted quantity in ml for fulfillment and inventory accuracy.

Three-Stage Conversion System

Measurement conversions are resolved using a priority-based system:

  1. Ingredient-Specific Conversions

    • Admin > Ingredients > Search Ingredient > Edit Ingredient > Measurements

  2. Ingredient Type Conversions

    • Admin > Settings > Ingredient Settings > Configure Ingredient Type > Measurement

  3. Global Conversions

    • Admin > Settings > Ingredient Settings > Measurement Conversions

When converting values, the system checks for conversions in the above order and uses the first available match.

Recommendation:
If an ingredient supports multiple measurement types, add the Converted Quantity column to Fulfillment Settings. It is also recommended to include this column in the Order View for clarity.

Fulfillment Columns

Add Columns

Click Add New Column to select additional data fields to display on the fulfillment page.

Delete Columns

Use the delete option in the column’s action menu to remove a column. Deleted columns can be re-added if needed.

Edit Column

Modify the display name of any column to better match your workflow or terminology.

Column Order

Enter a numerical value to control column placement.
Lower numbers position the column further to the left

Column Width

Specify a column width in pixels. If left blank, the system will automatically adjust column widths to fit the page.

Properly configured Fulfillment Settings improve accuracy, reduce preparation errors, and optimize the dispensing workflow across all dosage modes.
