Order Settings

This section controls which columns of data appear when viewing a submitted formula in the orders area.

Dosage Mode Tabs

The Order Screen Column options are organized into tabs, each representing a different dosage mode. These tabs allow you to independently control which columns are shown based on how a formula is dosed.

This directly affects how a formula appears in the Order area.

How the Tabs Work

Each tab at the top of the Order Screen Columns settings corresponds to a dosage mode:

  • Selecting a tab lets you configure only the columns for that specific dosage mode

  • Changes made under one tab do not affect other dosage modes

  • This allows you to customize the Order screen layout for different formula calculation methods

How This Affects the Order Area

When a formula is added to an order:

  • The system detects the dosage mode used by the formula

  • The Order area displays only the columns configured for that dosage mode

  • This ensures users see relevant fields (e.g., quantities vs percentages) without unnecessary clutter

For example:

  • A formula using Exact Quantity will display quantity-based columns such as Raw Qty, Measurement, and Qty. Per Container

  • A formula using Percentage will display fields like Ratio and % Per

  • You have the option of showing or hiding any column

Why This Matters

Using dosage mode–specific tabs allows you to:

  • Keep the Order screen clean and context-aware

  • Present the right data for each formula type

  • Support multiple clinical or educational workflows in the same system

This is especially useful for practices that work with a mix of fixed-dose formulas and percentage-based formulations.

Important Notes

  • Column settings are applied at the dosage mode level

  • Changing columns in one tab does not modify others

  • The Order screen dynamically updates based on the formula’s dosage mode
