Navigate to Admin → Settings → Notifications → SMS / Text to manage text message notifications for your dispensary.
You can customize SMS templates that are sent automatically to admins, patients, and practitioners based on system events.
Each SMS template can be turned on or off individually.
When disabled, the message will not be triggered or sent.
This allows you to control exactly which text notifications are active.
You may edit the content of SMS templates.
Use caution when modifying messages related to password resets, username recovery, or account verification.
Do not remove merge fields (tags), as they pull required data from the system.
Most messages are safe to edit. If content is accidentally removed, support can assist with recovery.
SMS messages are limited to 160 characters in the U.S. and Canada, which is the industry standard across carriers.
Exceeding this limit causes messages to be split into multiple texts, which creates a poor user experience.
Keep messages concise to ensure recipients receive only one SMS.
Remember that merged data (such as payment links or URLs) counts toward the 160-character limit.
You may define a default SMS signature that appears at the end of every message.
Keep the signature short, as it counts toward the 160-character limit.
Long signatures increase the risk of messages being split.
You can create custom SMS messages for patients and practitioners.
Custom messages are not sent automatically.
These messages can be sent manually from the Order View in the Admin by selecting the desired SMS template for the patient or practitioner.
SMS notifications provide fast, direct communication for time-sensitive updates while allowing you full control over messaging content and delivery.
