The Pricing Options tab defines how ingredients of a specific Ingredient Type are priced within your dispensary when a new ingredient is created only. These settings allow you to automate pricing, ensure consistency, and reduce manual updates as costs change.
Pricing rules are optional. You may set fixed selling prices without using pricing rules if preferred.
Pricing Rules allow you to create standardized logic for pricing single ingredients and premix formulas.
When pricing rules are applied:
Selling prices automatically update when underlying conditions (such as cost of goods) change
A single pricing rule can be applied to many ingredients
Updating the rule updates all associated ingredients at once
Example:
If a pricing rule applies a 200% markup and is later updated to 250%, all ingredients using that rule will automatically update to the new markup.
The Default Cost of Goods serves as a fallback value used when no supplier or inventory cost is available.
Set a default cost of goods for each Ingredient Type
This value will be applied automatically for new ingredients created using this Ingredient Type.
Changes are saved automatically
This ensures pricing calculations always have a cost reference.
The Default Selling Price ensures every ingredient has a selling price.
Set a default selling price per Ingredient Type
Newly created catalog items will use this price unless overridden
Guarantees all items in the dispensary are priced, even before detailed pricing is configured
Pricing Options provide a centralized way to manage costs and pricing behavior at the Ingredient Type level, helping maintain accuracy and scalability across your catalog.
