The General Details section displays high-level information about a product. Some fields are editable, while others are informational only. Not all fields are required.
You can customize which fields appear—and their order—by navigating to Field Settings within the product record.
Default Product Name
Allows you to change the default product name if multiple names exist.
Product Type
Indicates whether the product is a Simple Product or a Custom Product.
Product Status
Set the product status to Published, Draft, or Pending Review.
Product Has Variants
Displays Yes if the product has variants.
You may change a product from No Variants to Yes Variants to enable variants.
Once enabled, variants cannot be removed.
Product ID
Internal system identifier for the product.
Product SKU
The product SKU, which can be updated at any time.
Manufacturer
The product manufacturer. Instructions for adding manufacturers are available here.
Brand
The product brand name. Instructions for adding brand names are available here.
If a product belongs to multiple categories, you may select a default category. This category is used when viewing category data in the admin interface.
You can add an unlimited number of product names.
Click Add New to create a new name.
Select the name type, enter the product name, and click Save.
Multiple names of the same type (e.g., two English names) are allowed.
If multiple names exist under the same name type, they must be deleted together. You may re-add a single name afterward if needed.
List the product’s actions and/or indications. You may enter one, the other, or both.
Assign one or more categories to the product. Multiple categories are supported.
Enter a written description of the product that will be visible to users.
Important: Click Save Description after entering or editing the text. Unsaved changes will be lost.
Define product attributes by entering values or toggling attributes on or off.
Not all attributes are required.
Attribute visibility and order can be managed in Attribute Settings within the product record.
Tag other products in your catalog as similar.
If the Practitioner Account is enabled, similar products will display with an image and a link on the practitioner’s product record page.
Product tags allow for easy filtering and organization.
You may add an unlimited number of tags.

If the product is commonly used for specific allopathic conditions, you may list them here. Instructions for adding conditions are available here.
List any cautions or contraindications related to the product. This information is displayed on the product record page in the practitioner account.
