Ingredient List Overview

The Ingredient List displays all ingredients in your dispensary and provides a centralized place to manage their status, categories, and settings.

From this view, you can see:

  • Ingredient status

  • SKU#

  • Default ingredient name

  • Ingredient name type

  • Default category

  • Quick access links to edit/delete or add item to a purchase order (if setup)

Ingredient Statuses

You can change an ingredient’s status by clicking the round colored icon in the Status column. The icon color updates automatically based on the selected status.

Status Options

  • Published

    • The ingredient is live and available for practitioners to use in formulas

    • The ingredient can be added to Custom Products

  • Pending Review

    • The ingredient is ready to be published but is not yet live

  • Draft

    • The ingredient record is incomplete and not available for use

Ingredient Filters

You can filter the ingredient list using one or more of the following criteria:

  • Ingredient Form ( single ingredient or premix)

  • Ingredient Type

  • Category

  • Brand

  • Supplier

  • Status

Multiple filters can be applied at the same time to narrow results.

Category Selection

Click on the category name to update an ingredient’s category assignment.

  • If no category is assigned, the field will display “Assign Category”

  • The category shown in the list is the default category

  • Ingredients may belong to multiple categories, both public and private

  • Learn how to create new categories

Action Options

Edit Ingredient

  • Click the Edit button in the Action column

  • Or click the ingredient name directly

This opens the ingredient record for editing.

Delete Ingredient

  • Click the Delete button in the Action column

  • The ingredient is moved to the Trash Bin rather than permanently deleted

The Trash Bin is located at the top of the page. An ingredient must be deleted from the Trash to be fully removed.

Buy ingredient

The Buy button allows you to quickly add an ingredient to a purchase order for a supplier.

Before the Buy button becomes available, you must first add at least one supplier product to the ingredient record. Once a supplier product is linked, the Buy button will appear and can be used to add the item directly to a purchase order, streamlining your purchasing workflow.

Trashed Ingredients

Deleted ingredients remain in the Trash until permanently removed.

This safeguard allows you to:

  • Restore ingredients deleted by mistake

  • Avoid accidental data loss

Important:
Deleting ingredients that are used in existing formulas or custom products can cause issues. Whenever possible, avoid permanent deletion. Instead, consider changing the ingredient’s status or leaving it in the Trash without fully deleting it.

The Ingredient List is the primary tool for managing ingredient availability, organization, and lifecycle within your dispensary.
