The Practitioner Catalog provides practitioners with a centralized listing of all ingredients available in your dispensary. This catalog appears within the practitioner portal and allows practitioners to quickly browse, search, and filter available items.
A help video is available within this section for additional guidance.
To make the catalog available to practitioners, it must be enabled in the practitioner website navigation.
Quick Steps to enable Practitioner Catalog in Practitioner Portal:
Go to Admin > Settings > Websites
Open the Practitioner tab
Navigate to Navigation Menu > Left Navigation
Enable the Catalog option
Once enabled, the Catalog will appear in the left-hand navigation of the practitioner portal.
The Practitioner Catalog displays all single and premix formula ingredients available in your dispensary. Because catalog items contain many data fields and screen space is limited, you have full control over:
Which fields are displayed
The order in which fields appear
Whether fields are shown as text or images
This allows you to optimize the catalog for clarity, speed, and usability.
The Practitioner Catalog is configured using three tabs:
Columns
Images
Filter
The Columns tab controls which data fields appear in the catalog table and how they are displayed.
Status
Enable or disable fields to control whether they appear in the catalog
Order
Set the left-to-right order of fields using numerical values
Lower numbers appear further to the left
Action (Edit)
Edit how a field is displayed
Optionally display eligible fields as images instead of text
Set the column width in pixels
Example:
You may display an “Organic” field as an icon instead of text.
Some fields (such as Latin Name) cannot be displayed as images and will always remain text-based.
The Images tab allows certain fields to be displayed as images instead of text.
Not all fields support image display
Image-based fields are ideal for visual indicators such as:
Gluten-free
Organic
Certifications
Using images can save space and allow more information to be displayed within the catalog, depending on image size and column width.
The Filter tab controls which filter and search options are available to practitioners.
This allows you to define how practitioners can narrow down catalog results based on the fields and attributes most relevant to your workflow.
By configuring the Practitioner Catalog thoughtfully, you can provide practitioners with a fast, intuitive way to explore available ingredients while maintaining a clean and efficient interface.
