The Update Pricing feature allows you to update prices for single herbs and premix formulas in bulk using a CSV file.
Important:
All herbs and premix formulas must already exist in your dispensary before updating pricing.
Bulk pricing updates are useful when:
You need to adjust prices across many herbs or formulas
Cost structures or margins change
You want to introduce pricing rules or tiered pricing
Navigate to:
Admin > Settings > Data > Export > Pricing
Choose Herbs or Premix Formulas
These must be exported separately
Click Export Pricing
A CSV file will be generated and downloaded to your computer
Open the file in Excel or a similar spreadsheet program.
Note: Apple Numbers is not supported.
The exported CSV will include your existing pricing data and system-calculated values.
Do not change the Herb ID / Formula ID
The ID must stay associated with the correct item
The default herb or formula name is read-only
You cannot rename items in this file
The Latest Cost of Goods is system-calculated
This value cannot be edited
It is calculated based on costs when inventory is added
You may enter a Manual Cost of Goods value.
This will override the Latest Cost of Goods
Useful when you want pricing based on an adjusted or standardized cost
You may update the default selling price.
Rules:
Do not include a $ symbol
Values may include up to three decimal places
Example: 0.095 (allows half-cent pricing)
If you use pricing rules:
Create the pricing rule in the system first
Enter the exact rule name next to the herb or premix formula in the CSV
The rule will be applied automatically when pricing is calculated.
Tiered pricing allows you to charge different prices based on quantity ordered.
Up to 10 pricing tiers are available in the file
You may use all, some, or none of the tiers
For each tier:
Enter the quantity range
Examples: 0.1-5 or 1-5
Enter the Tier Condition, one of:
exactPrice
margin
markupPercentage
fixedMarkup
Enter the Tier Price
Review all changes carefully
Ensure IDs and names were not altered
Save the CSV file
To apply your changes:
Navigate to:
Admin > Settings > Data > Import > Import Existing > Pricing
Upload the saved CSV file
Review the data
Confirm the import to apply pricing changes
Always export pricing before making changes
Keep a backup copy of your original file
Update herbs and premix formulas separately
Test pricing changes on a small set of items first if needed
If pricing does not update as expected, contact support and include:
The CSV file you uploaded
Whether you were updating herbs or premix formulas
Any error messages shown during import
