Navigate to Admin → Settings → Product Settings → Configure.
You will see several configuration sections that control how simple products are created and managed.
To learn more about any section, click its title to view detailed information about the available settings.
Set the default product category and define the display name for the product type.
Products may have multiple name types. You can specify which name types are active and which one is used as the default.
Define default product images, including placeholder images that are automatically applied to newly created products.
Choose which product fields are enabled by default when creating a new product. These settings can be customized further on a per-product basis.
Select which product attributes are enabled by default for new products. Attribute visibility can also be adjusted per product.
Set default values for selling price and cost of goods when new products are created.
Define default inventory and stock-related settings for newly added products.
Assign default suppliers for new products. Supplier assignments can be modified per product as needed.
Create, edit, or remove product variants that can be applied to simple products.
